Saint Levantius is the patron saint of mystics, alchemists and occultists and his clandestine amulet has been worn since the age of antiquity as a protective phylactery. It invariably features the mercurial demon Asmodeus on the reverse side and in doing so symbolises beginnings, endings, balance and duality in all things. It is worn to show fealty and beseech his angelic blessings, yet if worn in reverse it will call upon the lord of chaos to reign down misfortune and calamity on a rival. Devotees place the talisman to their lips and whisper the epithet: 'Ut supra, Ut infra, As above so below'.
This handcrafted talisman disc is made in England from fine pewter and features a polished silver-toned side depicting a shrouded human figure. The reverse showcases the blackened demon Asmodeus, creating a striking contrast that embodies both protection and power. The piece feels substantial yet comfortable, making it perfect for everyday wear, while its dual-sided design allows for a choice of appearance depending on intention or outfit.
